KATELYN BUTLER

INTERIM SOFTBALL DIRECTOR

Welcome Katelyn Butler! Our new Interim Softball Director is an Indiana Native who previously attended Ball State and is currently a third year Purdue Pharmacy Student. Her husband and her recently moved to Lafayette and she works part time for CVS Pharmacy.

Katelyn has a long history with softball including playing with the Indiana Diamond Batz and Indiana Red Storm travel teams and for her high school, the Wapahani Raiders in Selma, IN. She was a general utility player across both infield and outfield positions and played catcher as well. During her career, Katelyn competed at the semi-state level with her high school team, and achieved All-Conference, All-County and All-State awards as an individual.

Butler’s coaching career started in Indianapolis where she coached with the Indiana Diamond Batz travel team while a Ball State student. Katelyn coached this team through the 2016 World Series in Pigeon Forge, TN. Today, Katelyn still loves the game and is a member of the Purdue Club Softball Team.

When asked what she is most excited about, Butler said, “I’m excited to get to know the KSR Softball Players and families. I love the game and hope I can bring some new practice techniques so players of all ages learn more and grow into their softball careers.”
